Newly installed sod requires daily watering — sometimes twice daily during the first two weeks — to keep the root zone consistently moist while the grass establishes contact with the underlying soil. After two to three weeks, you can begin transitioning to every other day, and by week four to six, you can move to a normal once or twice per week deep watering schedule.
